What should I wear for outdoor yoga in Iceland? I would recommend a few comfortable, sweat-wicking, light layers under your warmer outerwear. That way, you can remove some layers as you warm up during the class and layer back up for warmth afterwards.
Do I bring my own yoga mat and props? Yes (Props are not a necessity. A mat is recommended, unless you prefer to practice directly on the ground.)
Are all my meals included in the cost? Included in your pre-paid cost are 6 breakfasts and the 1 farewell dinner, all additional food and beverage is extra.
For double occupancy accommodations, how is my roomie selected? if you are travelling with someone you can choose to room with them. OR if you don’t have a specific roommate request, you will be rooming with one of your fellow retreat goers!
Can I stay in a single room? The retreat cost is based on double occupancy. However, yes, single rooms are available, for an additional cost.
Are you able to accommodate dietary restrictions? Yes we are able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please reach out and let us know what dietary restrictions you have so we can discuss how to best accommodate you.
Can I participate in this retreat even if I am new to yoga? YES! Modifications are available during all yoga practices to either increase or decrease the intensity.
Do I need to be travelling with someone to participate in the partner yoga class? No, the partner yoga class is a fun way to practice yoga and connect with either your travel partner OR another member of your retreat group.
Is there smoking permitted in any of the accommodations? No
Will all the accommodations have free WiFi? Yes
How long will we be exploring nature for each day? Approximately, 8 hours each day (some longer, some shorter). This includes any yoga out in nature as well as time for lunch. A more detailed time estimate for each day is available in our itinerary HERE.
How physically demanding will this trip be? This answer will likely be different for everybody, as everybody is different. However, generally, on the high end of moderately demanding due to our long days out exploring in nature, combined with yoga almost daily. The yoga classes will vary in intensity (from restorative to invigorating), with modifications available.
Are there any recommended vaccinations when travelling to Iceland? For any medical-related questions please talk to your doctor or another appropriate health care professional.
Do I need to pay for the entire trip right away? No, you pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% upon booking, and you have until 90 days prior to the start of your trip to pay the remaining 70% (lots of time to save!)
